More about this project

Street light housings, floodlight bodies and industrial light housings are examples of projects to discuss. EXACTMEC accepts mold orders from one set. Clear product drawings or a physical sample are required for quotation; an initial inquiry can start with your project details.

YOUR COMPONENT, YOUR REQUIREMENTS

Describe the lighting assembly

01

Describe the Housing as Part of a Light Assembly

A lighting housing needs to be discussed together with the parts it meets.

Project details

A lighting housing needs to be discussed together with the parts it meets. Explain where the lens, cover, driver compartment, bracket or other hardware sits. Identify the housing version you want quoted, especially if your product range includes several wattage or body size options. A family of related products does not necessarily use one identical mold.

Start with the component that is closest to purchase. Further versions can be reviewed once their differences are clear.

Part drawings

Clear 2D or 3D product information, with the current revision.

OR

A physical sample

An assessable product sample. Discuss arrangements before sending it.

02

Tell Us Which Surfaces and Features Matter

Show visible surfaces, planned coatings, fastener positions and areas used for assembly.

Project details

Show visible surfaces, planned coatings, fastener positions and areas used for assembly. If your design includes ribs or fins, provide their geometry in the product drawings. Explain any requirements associated with heat management or environmental protection, and identify the documents that define them. Those needs must be reviewed for the individual project.

We do not infer a thermal rating or an ingress protection rating from a housing image. State the intended product requirements instead of relying on appearance alone.

03

Prepare Product Information for a Quote

Send clear 2D or 3D product drawings, or discuss a physical sample.

Project details

Send clear 2D or 3D product drawings, or discuss a physical sample. Include overall dimensions and indicate which surfaces will receive later machining or finishing. If the sample is coated, explain whether the drawing represents the underlying casting or the finished product. That distinction can affect what needs clarification before a mold price is prepared.

Also tell us where the mold will run and whether the receiving manufacturer has interface requirements. We quote the mold; we do not offer lighting component mass production.

DISCUSSION CHECKLIST · NOT A TEST REPORT

Housing and cover relationship
Identify what is known.
Defined appearance and surface areas
Explain the requirement or difference.
Mounting and thermal feature requirements
Flag anything still to be agreed.

04

Confirm the Mold Design, Then Test Samples

After payment, we prepare a 3D mold design for your review.

Project details

After payment, we prepare a 3D mold design for your review. Mold manufacturing starts only after your design confirmation. Once the mold is made, we trial it and send samples for your testing. Before that stage, tell us which assembly and appearance checks your team plans to make. The mold is sent after you confirm that the samples are acceptable.

About 30–40 days from payment is the current indicative schedule. Exact milestones, sample transport and final shipment are agreed for your project.
