2D product drawing
Provide a readable current drawing with the dimensions and notes you already have.
PDF / DWG / DXFQUOTATION CHECKLIST
Start with a clear 2D product drawing, a 3D part model or an assessable physical sample.
One clear product reference is enough to start.

You do not need to design the mold yourself. This guide shows which project details help us review your request, and how product information differs from the 3D mold design prepared after payment.
01
Clear 2D drawings, 3D drawings or an actual sample give us a basis for evaluating the mold request. If you have more than one type, tell us which information is current and whether the files describe the same product. Make the units and revision clear.
An image of a drawing may be difficult to interpret when dimensions or notes are blurred. Check readability before uploading files. If you only have a sample, explain whether it represents the exact product you want or a reference that needs changes. We can then discuss the next assessment steps.
Provide a readable current drawing with the dimensions and notes you already have.
PDF / DWG / DXFUpload the current product model, preferably STEP or STP, and identify its revision.
STEP / STP preferredDescribe the sample and discuss sending arrangements before shipping it.
Discuss shipment first02
Tell us what the product does and where it will be used. A motor housing, lighting enclosure and mounting component may need different questions during the conversation, even when all are aluminum die casting applications. Describe the intended part rather than selecting an industry name alone.
List requirements your own team has already identified. These might include the intended aluminum material, important mating features, appearance areas or a required customer specification. Treat these as requests for assessment, not capabilities automatically confirmed by a website example. If a requirement is unknown, mark it as unknown rather than copying a value from another product.
03
EXACTMEC currently supplies custom aluminum die casting molds. We do not accept mass-production orders for the cast parts. One mold set can be ordered, so you do not need to invent a large part quantity to make an inquiry worthwhile.
State how many mold sets you need and where the finished mold will be used. If you already have casting equipment, tell us that equipment information is available and arrange to share the relevant details during technical discussion. If another production partner will operate the mold, involve that team when equipment compatibility and acceptance requirements are being agreed.
04
Include your name, company, country, city, email and a reachable phone or WhatsApp number. A company website is useful if available. These details help us understand the inquiry and contact the appropriate person about the project.
Use an email address you monitor and check the spelling before submission. If your company is new or you use a personal business email, explain the project briefly; those facts alone do not make an inquiry unsuitable. If you are requesting the mold for another company, state your role so communication and technical questions reach the right people.
05
Your planned purchase date tells us how ready the project is to proceed. Your required delivery date tells us about the wider schedule. They are different questions. Explain whether you are ready to buy, collecting quotations, finishing a product design or researching a future project.
An approximate per-mold budget is optional. If you share it, include the currency and clarify whether it covers tooling alone. You can also say that the budget is undecided. Our general production estimate is approximately 30–40 days from payment; the exact project scope and timing need confirmation, and this estimate is not a guaranteed arrival date.
06
The inquiry begins with product drawing upload, a physical-sample route or a no-drawings route. It then records your project and contact details. After reviewing the inquiry, we contact you using the details provided to discuss the project and arrange the appropriate information exchange.
Keep the original files available and avoid sending different revisions through several conversations without explanation. For a physical sample, discuss the receiving details and shipping arrangements first. You may continue through WhatsApp when appropriate, but a WhatsApp chat is not required to preserve the inquiry. We can follow up by email.
Complete the Basic Inquiry07
Before a final quotation, confirm that the product reference, requested mold quantity and known requirements agree. List open points instead of assuming they are included. Ask what the quotation covers for design, trial work, samples and delivery, and how later changes will be handled.
The mold's 3D design comes after payment and is sent to you for approval before manufacturing. That approval stage does not replace the need for a clear product reference at quotation. Keeping these two stages distinct helps both teams discuss the same product and the same scope.

BEFORE YOUR INQUIRY
Not necessarily. Clear product 2D or 3D drawings, or a physical sample, can be the starting reference. We will discuss whether additional information is needed for your specific quotation.
Photos alone are not enough for our formal mold quotation. You can submit a basic inquiry and explain your situation, then arrange clear drawings or a physical sample.
No. You provide the product reference. After payment, we prepare the 3D mold design and send it for your approval before manufacturing begins.
Start the inquiry by uploading product drawings. If you have a physical sample or no drawings yet, choose that path and tell us what you can provide.
YOUR NEXT MOLD PROJECT
Upload clear product drawings, choose the sample route or start a preliminary discussion. Add your project details and we will follow up about anything still needed.
