TRIAL AND ACCEPTANCE

Test the trial samples before the mold is shipped

For a custom aluminum die casting mold, the trial sample stage gives your team an opportunity to test what the mold produces.

More about this project

After manufacturing, we trial the mold, send samples to you, and arrange mold shipment once you confirm that those samples are acceptable.

01

Begin with requirements that both sides understand

Quality review starts with a clear product reference and an agreed mold project.

Project details

Quality review starts with a clear product reference and an agreed mold project. Give us the product drawings or physical sample used for quotation, and explain the requirements your team will use when reviewing trial samples.

A product photograph can help explain an application, but it does not communicate every requirement. If fit, appearance or another product feature is important to your decision, bring it into the project discussion. Inspection and acceptance expectations should not first appear after the sample arrives.

02

Confirm the mold design before it is made

Following payment, we prepare the 3D mold design and send it for your confirmation.

Project details

Following payment, we prepare the 3D mold design and send it for your confirmation. Manufacturing begins after that approval. This gives the project an agreed design reference before mold manufacture proceeds.

Design approval and sample approval have different purposes. The first confirms the design to be manufactured. The second follows the mold trial and your testing of the resulting samples. Keep both decisions linked to the relevant project information.

03

Trial the completed mold and produce samples

Once mold manufacture is complete, the mold is trialed to produce samples for customer testing.

Project details

Once mold manufacture is complete, the mold is trialed to produce samples for customer testing. These samples relate to the custom mold project; they are not an offer to supply ongoing production quantities.

Sample quantities, sample delivery and specific review needs are discussed for the order. If your team needs particular information alongside the samples, raise that requirement during quotation and project communication so it can be reviewed within the scope.

04

Use your testing to give clear sample feedback

After receiving the samples, test them against the requirements agreed for the project.

Project details

After receiving the samples, test them against the requirements agreed for the project. Your team is responsible for communicating the result and identifying any concern that prevents acceptance. Share clear observations rather than a general statement that something is wrong.

Reference the relevant sample, product drawing and feature when explaining a concern. Measurements, annotated photos or a short description of the test can help the discussion when available. We discuss the issue and the next action with you; changes and their implications are handled for the individual order.

  • Identify which sample and feature you are discussing.
  • Explain the expected requirement and observed result.
  • Keep sample feedback separate from new product design requests.

Release the mold after sample acceptance

When you confirm that the samples are acceptable, we arrange shipment of the completed mold.

Project details

When you confirm that the samples are acceptable, we arrange shipment of the completed mold. Share your acceptance clearly so both sides understand that the project can move to mold delivery.

Transport details and the documents required for the shipment are discussed directly. The typical project estimate of about 30–40 days starts after payment. It does not by itself guarantee the date of sample arrival, customer testing completion or mold delivery at your site.
